Veteran actor-director Vijaya Nirmala passes away at the age of 73

Tollywood’s famous Actress and Director Vijaya Nirmala passed away at Hyderabad at the age of 73. Born on January 20, 1946, Actress directed 44 Telugu films. This is why his name is recorded in the Guinness Book of Records. After the demise of Vijaya Nirmala, whole Tollywood has shocked. After Vijaya Nirmala’s death, all the people are paying tribute to her on social media. Her husband Krishna and son Naresh are in the family of Vijaya Nirmala.

Actor Manchu Manoj paid tribute to Vijaya on Twitter. He wrote – “You came, you made history and now you went away.”

Vijaya was awarded the Telugu Cinema Award Raghupathi Venkaiah Award in 2008. She started working as a child actress at the age of 7.

Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu also expressed his condolences on Twitter.

Vijaya Nirmala Personal Life

Actress Vijaya Nirmala was born in Tamil Nadu. Her father was working in film production. As we have informed you erlier, She made her debut at the age of seven as a child artist with a Tamil movie “Machcha Rekhai” (1950). Vijaya Nirmala debuted in the Telugu film industry in the film Rangula Ratnam.

In the year 1964, she starred opposite Prem Nazir with the Malayalam hit Bhargavi Nilayam. Also, in 1967, Vijaya Nirmala starred again opposite Prem Nazir in Udhyogastha directed by P. Venu.

Vijaya had a son, Naresh, from her first husband Krishna Murthy. She later married famous actor Krishna, who was the father of five children from his earlier marriage, including superstar Mahesh Babu, yes Mahesh babu is the son of actor Krishna.

Vijaya Nirmala met her second husband Krishna on the sets of Saakshi (1967), her second film in Telugu, and they starred together in 47 films. It was her friend Saakshi that kindled her interest in direction.

Vijaya Nirmala acted in over 200 films with 25 each in Malayalam and Tamil, and the rest in Telugu.
