Australia has announced its squad for the World Cup (ICC World Cup 2019) on Monday (April 15th). Steve Smith and David Warner are back in the team. The team’s captaincy is given to Aaron Finch. Cricket Australia (CA) has announced its 15-member squad for the ICC ODI World Cup starting in England from May 30.
The names of some veterans are not included in this team. Josh Hazlewood and Peter Handscomb have not been able to find place in the World Cup team. Team top bowler Mitchell Starc is also back in the team, who were out due to his injury.
The Kangaroo team will be able to save their titles on England’s ground this time. Autralia won the title in its home groud in 2015 by defeating New Zealand in the final. With the defeat of New Zealand in the World Cup 2015 final, Australia had captured the title for the fifth time.
Australia is the most successful team in the history of cricket. These five times world cup winners are always considered favorites in the World Cup. Champions got out in quarter-finals in 2011 after getting continues victory in 1999, 2003 and 2007. After that, however, in 2015, they got their back.
